Gao Xingjian Catalogue
Introduction
Alisan Fine Arts is pleased to present the gallery’s third solo exhibition for Gao Xingjian presenting 19 paintings created between 1998 and 2001.
“Public awareness of the extent of Gao’s artistic talent has soared since the Nobel Prize was conferred on him in 2000, and there has been a corresponding surge of popularity for his painting. But Gao remains essentially unaffected; a solitary figure aloof from all the publicity, continuing to write and paint.” 1
Catalogue available
1: Alice King (2000), Foreword, The Solitary World of Gao Xingjian (Catalogue of exhibition in 2002)
