Ngai Wing-lam, Ant

lives in Hong Kong
Having grown up in Hong Kong, Ant Ngai Wing-lam graduated with a BA from Hong Kong Baptist University Academy of Visual Arts in 2008. Ngai is known for her oil paintings depicting individuals with Koi fish heads within Hong Kong cityscapes. These stories and characters are inspired by the artist's own dreams and surroundings. In 2020, she collaborated on a large-scale mural for the "55 Squared" public art project at Tai Kwun in Hong Kong. She was also shortlisted for the Sovereign Asian Art Prize in 2025.

Over the years, Ngai has held more than 30 solo and group exhibitions, including in the UK, Italy, Finland, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Recent group exhibitions include The Drifters at Duddell's in Hong Kong in 2023 and The Tales of the Ocean by WWF Hong Kong in 2020. Currently on view at JCCAC's group exhibition So Far So True, Hong Kong, until 27 Sept, 2026.

Alisan Fine Arts first collaborated with Ngai in 2021, exhibiting her works in French May Arts Festival Associated Project Chinese Surrealism. In 2023, she was exhibited in gallery's London exhibition Beyond Tradition: The Metamorphosis of Chinese Art, and featured her works in several art fairs, including Art Basel Hong Kong (2022, 2023, 2024), and ART SG, marking her debut in Singapore in 2024.
