Born in 1989 Hong Kong, Jeremy Ip graduated with a Master’s Degree in Arts (Painting) at the University of the Arts London, Wimbledon College of Arts in 2019, and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts from the Academy of Visual Arts of Hong Kong Baptist University in 2014. He is currently living in Hong Kong,

Jeremy’s practice centres on painting and focuses on forms of communication that downplay efficiency. He learns from the textural changes of materials within finitude, developing ways to coexist with various forms of resistance. He currently runs the art space Wure Area, in the Kowloon Bay Industrial Area, promoting a practice-oriented approach to all experiences.

Ip has been awarded the International Painting Prize Shortlisted by Seville Cultural Foundation of Spain (2016) and has exhibited nearly 20 times in London, Shanghai, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Art fairs include Art Basel in Hong Kong and Art 021 in Shanghai.

In 2025, The Remains of Our Days at Alisan Atelier Hong Kong marked the gallery's first collaboration with the artist.

His work is in the collection of Morgan Stanley Bank Asia, Hong Kong.
