Fung graduated from Fine Arts Department of Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016 and finished her Master programme of Fine Arts (Studio Art) in 2020. Awards received include Madam Jan Yun-bor Memorial Awards for Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, Ting Yen Yung Creative Award, and most recently, ARTabi 2023 International Contemporary Art Award Grand Prize-Gold Award from Japan. Having exhibited in 17 exhibitions across Japan, Korea, Beijing, and Hong Kong, notable ones include those at Tatsuno Museum, Japan; Tai Kwun’s Ink City, Hong Kong; and Asian Students and Young Artists Art Festival, Seoul.
Applying the techniques of traditional Chinese paintings, Fung works primarily with fine brushes and uses deep colour shades which create a dusky ambiance within her works. Inspired by her own life experiences and perceptions, she reflects the emotional linkages between humans and human-animals through depiction of the cities and wildlifes. The tension between animals and cities also shown in her paintings. She is especially skilled in using gold and silver colour to build rich layers that intertwine the reality and fantasy.
