Anna Danyang Song is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice is rooted in ceramics and contemporary craft. She received her BFA from Tsinghua University and her MFA in Ceramics from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), where she also earned a Collegiate Teaching in Art & Design certificate. Her professional experience includes working at the Institute of Tea Ceremony Art at Tsinghua University, as well as serving as a faculty member and ceramic studio manager at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
Song’s work has been exhibited at institutions and galleries internationally, including the RISD Museum in Providence, The Blanc in New York, the Ely Center of Contemporary Art in New Haven, and the Kathryn Schultz Gallery in Boston, among others. Her works are held in the collections of the Harvard Art Museums and Tsinghua University. She is the recipient of the NCECA 2024 Multicultural Fellowship, the Craftsmanship Innovation Award at the 1st Dehua Chinese Traditional Ceramic Biennial, and the Emerging Artist Award from the Cambridge Art Association.
